TERM 1 - YVH CLASSIC

The best way to start the year! Come and sing with Young Voices of Hobart as we explore a range of fun, contemporary choral repertoire. The term will culminate in a public concert showcasing the pieces learned.

Performance outcome:

Mon 3 April - Concert at Peacock Theatre, Salamanca Arts Centre

Cost: $120 (+$25 for new singers)

Includes weekly tuition and rehearsal.

TERM 2 - FESTIVAL OF VOICES

Perform alongside some of the best choirs in the country in the iconic Festival of Voices. All singers will get the chance to learn from guest conductors, perform in the Youth Choir Showcase, participate in pop-up performances and more.

Performance outcomes:

Hobart Eisteddfod - late May (TBC)
Upstaged! A Musical Theatre showcase - Sunday 11 June
Youth Choir workshop & supper - Sunday 2 July
Young Tasmania Sings - Tuesday 4 July (Grade 4-8 only)
Youth Choir Showcase - Thursday 6 July

Cost: $150 (+$25 for new singers)

Includes weekly tuition and rehearsal, Festival of Voices registration, Youth Choir workshop and supper, ticket to see Rossini's Petite Messe solennelle conducted by Graham Abbott.

TERM 3 - MELBOURNE TOUR

Be a part of history as YVH makes its first ever trip interstate. We are thrilled to be joining in concert with the world renowned Young Voices of Melbourne and Yarra Voices.

Tour dates: Friday 1 September - Sunday 3 September

Performance outcomes:

Mon 28 August - Fundraising Concert at Scots-Memorial Church
Sat 2 September - Concert in Melbourne with YVM and Yarra Voices

Cost: $700 Non-touring singers: $120 (+$25 for new singers)

Includes weekly tuition and rehearsal, flights, accommodation, meals and supervising staff costs.

TERM 4 - CHRISTMAS ANGELS

Join us for our popular Christmas Singing Program as we bring festive joy to all of Hobart. From the Christmas Pageant to singing live on ABC Radio, Young Voices of Hobart will have a busy schedule of wonderful performances.
